Mark Callander, Chief Executive New Zealand

For the past two decades, Mark has been a key player in NZ’s competitive telco landscape. He became the CEO of the CallPlus Group in 2010, and has been responsible for the growth and success of the company over this period – through acquisitions and the ongoing transformation of the business. Following the successful merger with Vocus, Mark has joined the Vocus Group Executive Team in Australia and continues to lead the NZ business to achieve its growth ambitions in all market segments.

Mark O’Connell, General Manager Human Resources

Mark heads up the HR and corporate services function for Vocus Group in NZ. Originally joining CallPlus in 2004 as HR Director, Mark played a key part in the CallPlus acquisition of Orcon in 2014, and more recently, the merger with Vocus. Mark has seen the business through significant change and works to develop strategies to achieve business growth and enhance productivity.

Adrian Dick, Chief Technology Officer New Zealand

One of the original CallPlus team members, Adrian started his career with the business in 1997. Adrian has been instrumental in growing the Group in New Zealand from a small reseller, to one of the country’s largest full-service telecommunications providers. He now manages a team of 120, responsible for maintaining and optimising Vocus Group’s NZ network, which includes more than 4,200km of fibre, more than 200 Exchanges, and 125 handovers and POPs nationwide. 

Taryn Hamilton, Consumer General Manager

Taryn is passionate about technology and providing the best internet services for Kiwis. With almost two decades of industry experience, Taryn heads up Vocus’ three Consumer brands; Orcon, Slingshot and Flip. The brands have carved out reputation as challenger brands in a competitive landscape, with a focus on innovation, great service, and agility in bringing products to market.

Catherine Adams, Consumer Operations General Manager

Catherine heads up the consumer operations for Vocus’ Consumer brands, leading a 300-strong team of helpdesk, provisioning, recruitment, learning and development and disputes resolutions agents. With multi-industry experience in both New Zealand and Australia, Catherine has extensive operations and general management skills, along with a passion for fostering people to work to their talents and achieve great results.

Jacky Hollingsworth, General Manager Finance, Vocus Group New Zealand

Jacky joined Vocus NZ in July 2017 as General Manager of Finance leading the finance, planning, credit/collections and revenue assurance functions. Jacky started her career in the energy sector, before moving into Telco where she held a number of senior finance roles. After spending over 10 years in Telco Jacky headed to the world of burgers and fries and spent 4 years as CFO of McDonald’s Restaurants (NZ) Ltd. Jacky is focused on developing a finance team that work as key business partners looking beyond the numbers, and who drive a positive and engaging team culture. Jacky has a BCom (Merit) from University of Wollongong (Aus) and is a member of CPA (Australia).

Susie Stone, General Manager Vocus Communications

Susie heads up Vocus NZ’s business division. She comes to the role following a long telco career, holding many senior leadership positions, including GM Network Solutions at Clear Communications and GM Strategic Development at Kordia.

Susie has a honed knowledge in networks, strategy and product development, as well as strong management skills. Following Vocus Group’s recent decision to move to a single business brand, with the merger of CallPlus Business into Vocus Communications, Susie is focused on maximising Vocus Communications’ combined strengths in product, sales, marketing and service environments, across all-sized sectors.

Jude Flood, 2talk General Manager

Jude has been General Manager of 2talk since September 2007. She helped grow the company from a start-up and helped the transition through its sale to a thriving division of Vocus Group. Jude loves technology and is focused on continuing to grow the 2talk brand both in New Zealand and Australia.

Johnathan Eele, Vocus Energy General Manager

Johnathan’s career in utilities spans 17 years. Johnathan joined the Vocus Group following the Group’s acquisition of Black + White; a specialised business telco he founded in 2008. Johnathan has worked in the UK, Ireland, USA and NZ for companies such as Cable & Wireless, Hutchison Whampoa, and Telecom NZ (now Spark). His roles have covered marketing, procurement, product management, sales and general management.

Graham Walmsley, Regulatory and Commercial General Manager

Starting his career in IT systems design, Graham has held a range of senior management roles, including CEO of Diners Club NZ and GM Marketing for Countrywide Bank. Graham moved into telecommunications in the late 90’s, as Head of Business Marketing Telecom (now Spark), and was part of the CallPlus team in the early days; seeing it grow from a startup to number three in the fixed-line telco market.

Emily Acland, Senior Corporate Counsel

Emily joined Vocus Group as Senior Corporate Counsel, heading the legal and compliance function of the New Zealand Group. Prior to Vocus, Emily worked in-house as Corporate Counsel for an ASX/NZX listed company, and prior to that, Emily was an Associate at international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
